Turkey November 2022: Ford (+124.1%), Mercedes (+113%) stand out in market up a very strong 36.7%
Ford compensates for a particularly low year-ago volume.
The Turkish new light vehicle market is gaining momentum in November with a splendid 36.7% year-on-year rise to 82,311 sales. The year-to-date volume is now down only -1.3% to 668,063 and could tilt in positive if the positive trend continues into December. Fiat (+49.4%) rises even faster the market but hits only 17.4% share vs. 18.6% so far this year. Renault is up a timid 12.8% to 11.2% share vs. 12% YTD while Ford (+124.1%) scores a spectacular lift which is mainly due to a particularly weak year-ago volume. Mercedes (+113%) is the only additional Top 10 carmaker to outrace the market at #10, with Volkswagen (+33%) and Opel (+30.1%) slightly below the market’s average growth. Outside the Top 10, notice Alfa Romeo (+4600%!), Maserati (+716.7%), Kia (+347.4%), Suzuki (+163.4%), Land Rover (+138.3%), Mini (+115.3%) and Dacia (+105.2%) among the biggest year-on-year gainers.
