Slovakia November 2022: Kia Sportage best-seller, sales up 18.5%

The Kia Sportage is the most popular vehicle in Slovakia in November.

After surging 30.5% last month, new car sales in Slovakia shoot up another 18.5% year-on-year in November to 6,758 registrations. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 3.1% to 72,392 units. Brand leader Skoda (+36.4%) almost doubles the market growth rate to establish itself at 17.9% share. Kia (+3.6%) trails the market but stays in 2nd place vs. #3 year-to-date. Toyota (+56.5%) manages the largest gain in the Top 10 and climbs two spots on October to land on the third step of the podium. Hyundai (-3.6%) is in difficulty at #4 while Volkswagen (+55.8%) soars ahead at #5. Dacia (+56.3%) and Renault (+29.2%) also post very solid gains in the remainder of the Top 10 with Mercedes (+4.9%) and Peugeot (+0.7%) a lot more discreet and Citroen (-15.5%) skidding.

Over in the models ranking, the Kia Sportage (+141.8%) climbs up three ranks on last month to snap the overall pole position for the third time in the past 5 months and advances to #3 year-to-date as a result. The Skoda Fabia (+47.3%) is knocked down to #2 despite a fantastic year-on-year uptick. Still leader year-to-date by a comfortable margin, the Hyundai i30 (-27.2%) implodes year-on-year but rallies back up four spots on October to #3. The Skoda Kamiq (+102.7%) is down one rank to #4 ahead of he Hyundai Tucson (-9.2%) and Kia Ceed (-39.3%) both struggling. The Dacia Duster (+123.5%) and Skoda Scala (+86.7%) are also very dynamic below in the Top 10 but the Skoda Octavia (-25%) is down six spots on last month to #8.
