Chery is up to a record 4th place in Kazakhstan in October.

New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan return to negative in November at -11.7% year-on-year to 10,735 units. The year-to-date tally is now up 2.4% to 97,737 sales. Kia (+63.5%) surges ahead to post the largest gain in the Top 10 and Top 20 but remains in third place overall. Newcomer Chery is up a further one spot on last month to reach a record 4th place, also breaking its volume and share records. Sister brand Exeed is in the same situation, inching up to an all-time high #7 with highest ever volume and share. Meanwhile Lada (-70.5%), JAC (-46.4%), Toyota (-37.9%) and GAZ (-32.5%) all freefall. Just outside the Top 10, Haval (+59.7%) and BMW (+57%) shine. Changan makes its first appearance at #22.

Model-wise, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+0.8%) continues to evolve at stratospheric heights with 20.4% market share, more than twice any other vehicle in the country. The Hyundai Tucson (+298.4%) multiplies its year-ago volume by 4 and ascends to 2nd place overall, toppling the Chevrolet Nexia (-26.9%). The Kia Ceed advances to #4 vs. #25 year-to-date while the Toyota Prado (+193%) rounds out the Top 5. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is up two spots on September to a record #6 ahead of the Kia Sportage (+63%) also in outstanding shape. The rest of the Top 10 is in frank negative: the GAZ Gazelle (-32.5%), Hyundai Accent (-55.3%) and Hyundai Elantra (-61.6%) all implode. Among recent launches, the Chery Tiggo 8 is up six ranks on last month to #11, the Exeed VX up 17 to #14 and the Haval Dargo up 39 to #16, all breaking their ranking record.
