Singapore October 2022: BYD up to record #5 in market off -19.4%
BYD is the 5th best-selling carmaker in Singapore in October.

The Singaporean new car market continues to implode in October at -19.4% year-on-year to 2,396 sales. This brings the year-to-date tally down -33.8% to 26,223. Market leader Toyota (-35.7%) falls much faster than the market to 19.7% share vs. 21.1% so far this year. In contrast Mercedes (-6.7%) resists well at #2 and BMW (+36%) braves the negative context with a splendid year-on-year rise. Honda (-55.4%) craters but manages the stay in the 4th place it hold year-to-date. BYD (+980%) is the winner of the month, up 8 spots on September to land at a new record 5th spot. Audi (+87.2%), Opel (+85.4%) and Mazda (+19%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
