Morocco October 2022: Dacia at 27% share, Renault up 77.9%, market up 6.2%
Dacia holds 27% of the Moroccan market in October.
Moroccan monthly updates are back on BSCB! In October, 13,096 new vehicles found a buyer, making it a third consecutive month in positive at +6.2% year-on-year. Passenger Cars are up 6.6% to to 11,277 units while Light Commercials edge up 3.8% to 1,819. The year-to-date volume remains down however at -6.9% over the first 10 months of the year. In the Passenger Cars brands ranking, Dacia (+2.2%) remains untouchable at 27% share ahead of sister brand Renault up a spectacular 77.9% year-on-year to 17.5% share. Hyundai (+16.6%) advances to #3 dislodging Peugeot (-28.4%) in difficulty. Below, Toyota (+25.1%) and Volkswagen (+11.4%) are also very dynamic while Skoda (+107.4%) signs its first Top 10 finish of the year at #10. Dacia (-9.1%) also tops the year-to-date charts despite a hefty year-on-year loss, and distances Renault (+6.2%), Hyundai (+13%) and Peugeot (-1.3%). Toyota (+29.2%) and Kia (+18.1%) sign the biggest gains in the Top 10.
