Egypt 9 months 2022: Chevrolet and Nissan lead, Chery up to third place
The Chery Arrizo 5 is up to 5th place in Egypt so far in 2022.
159,864 new vehicles found a buyer in Egypt over the first 9 months of 2022. Chevrolet continues to lead the brands ranking but sees its market share thaw from 14.9% over the Full Year 2021 to 13.8% now. In contrast, Nissan climbs from 9.6% to 12.2%. In third place, Chery is up five spots on its FY2021 ranking to 9.9% share, distancing Suzuki up two spots at 9.5% of the market, MG down one to 6.4% and Hyundai down three to 5.6%. Kia, Fiat and BYD complete the Top 10. Model-wise, the Chevrolet T-Series is headed towards a 9th consecutive annual win with 10.5% share, with the Nissan Sunny staying at #2 with 8.1% of the market. The Suzuki Swift/Dzire is up six spots on its FY21 ranking to #3 ahead of the Fiat Tipo staying at #4 and the Chery Arrizo 5 up 9 ranks to #5. In fact Chery places three models inside the Top 10 with the Tiggo at #6 and the Tiggo 7 at #9. The Toyota Corolla, MG5 and BYD F3 also manage to rank within the 10 best-selling vehicles in the country.
