UK nations July 2022: Toyota Aygo X #1 in Wales, Dacia Sandero #2 in two nations

The Toyota Aygo X is the best-selling vehicle in Wales this month.

Thanks to SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in July. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are included in the July 2022 UK update. Scotland (10,035 sales) sports by far the best hold among all nations at -0.3%, followed by England (94,995) at -9.6%, Wales (4,003) at -10.5% and Northern Ireland (2,759) at -15.1%. Year-to-date, Northern Ireland (23,898) fares best at -0.8% ahead of Scotland (81,866) at -1.9% and Wales (33,226) at -3.2% while England (773,024) is far below at -13%.

The event of the month is the Toyota Aygo X already accessing the #1 spot in Wales after just a couple of months in market. It also ranks #8 in England and #9 in the whole of the UK. The other podium finishers are as follows: the Nissan Qashqai #1 in England, the Hyundai Tucson #1 in Northern Ireland and the Vauxhall Corsa #1 in Scotland. The Mini is #2 in England, the Dacia Sandero #2 in Scotland, equal #2 in Northern Ireland and #6 in Wales, the Renault Captur equal #2 in Northern Ireland and the Ford Kuga #2 in Wales. The VW T-Roc is #3 in England and #7 in Scotland, the Audi A1 #3 in Scotland and #7 in England and the MG HS #3 in Wales.

Other great performers include the Dacia Duster #4 in Scotland and #7 in Wales, the Hyundai Kona #4 in Northern Ireland, the Kia Ceed #5 in Scotland, the Ford Ecosport #7 in Northern Ireland, and the VW Tiguan #8 in Wales and #10 in England.
