Kuwait June 2022: Toyota Prado leads, Chrysler 300C in Top 10, market down -1.1%

The Chrysler 300C is inside the Kuwait Top 10 in June.

New vehicle sales in Kuwait edge down -1.1% year-on-year in June to 8,564. Market leader Toyota (+22.7%) bucks the negative trend with the only uptick in the Top 5, reaching 34.6% share. Chevrolet (-3.1%) and Mitsubishi (-19.5%) overtake Nissan (-58.8%) in total freefall. MG (+29.8%) advances to #6 overall above Honda (+43.4%) also in great shape. Changan (+70.4%) breaks into the Top 10 at #9 but Ford (-29.1%) and Hyundai (-14.7%) are hit hard in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Suzuki (+105.3%), GMC (+29.2%), Chrysler (+1325%), Geely (+34%), Cadillac (+101.8%) and Infiniti (+113.3%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Toyota Prado (+322.9%) is the best-seller this month like it was in March with 8.7% share, distancing the Toyota Land Cruiser SW (+15%) at 6.7%. The Chevrolet Captiva (+3.6%) rounds out the podium ahead of the Toyota Hiace (-22.9%), Hilux (+26.5%) and Camry (-30.4%). The Nissan Patrol (-55.1%) loses more than half its year-ago volume at #7, with the Toyota Corolla (+65.7%), Chysler 300C (+1325%) and Honda Accord (+97.6%) closing the Top 10 in euphoric manner. The Chevrolet Groove (#20) aka Baojun 510 is the most popular recent launch above the Geely Tugella (#29), MG GT (#30), Changan UNI-K (#46) and Peugeot Landtrek (#70).
