Hungary July 2022: Volkswagen #1 brand, Dacia Duster repeats at #1 in market down -14.4%
The Dacia Duster remains the most popular vehicle in Hungary in July.
The Hungarian new light vehicle market (PC + LCV) is down -14.4% year-on-year in July to 10,525 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -13.5% to 77,238. In the PC+LCV brands ranking, Volkswagen takes the lead for the month with 12.1% share, distancing Toyota at 11.2%, Ford at 7.9% and Suzuki and Kia both at 7.4%. Toyota remains the YTD leader with 12.1% of the market. In the PC only ranking, Volkswagen (+47.9%) is also in pole position in July above Toyota (+4.9%) and Dacia (+8.7%). Kia (-18.9%) overtakes Suzuki (-57.9%) for 5th place above Ford (-31.6%).
Model-wise, the Dacia Duster repeats at #1 above the Suzuki S-Cross and Kia Ceed. In the YTD charts the Kia Ceed overtakes the Suzuki Vitara (stuck at a low #9 for the month) to rank #2 overall. The Dacia Duster stays at #4 YTD. Notice also the Ford Puma up to #10 in July vs. #19 YTD, the Hyundai Tucson up to #14 vs. #21 YTD and the Dacia Jogger down one spot on June to a still splendid 8th place vs. #25 so far this year.
