Moldova May 2022: Toyota RAV4 runaway leader at 13.4% share, market up 33.6%
The Toyota RAV4 holds 13.4% of the Moldovan market in May.
According to data shared with us by our Central European market data partner CE Auto, the Moldovan new car market shoots up 33.6% year-on-year in May to 696 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 13.4% to 2,567 units. The Toyota RAV4 (+93.8%) is the runaway leader this month with a stunning 13.4% share, climbing from #7 to #3 in the year-to-date charts. As a reminder it topped the Full Year 2021 ranking. The Renault Kadjar is up two spots on April to a new record at #2 as discounts on this soon-to-be discontinued model boost sales. The Dacia Duster (-23.9%) and Kia Sportage (+9.4%) make sure the Top 4 is entirely composed of SUVs. The Dacia Logan (+3.6%) is the best-selling car at #5 and holds onto its year-to-date lead with 7.7% share. The Skoda Kodiaq (+80%), Fabia (+136.4%) and Superb (+63.6%) all post fantastic scores while the Haval H6 and Peugeot 3008 point their bonnet inside the Top 10.
