Singapore April 2022: Toyota and Mercedes top market freefalling -38.2%
Toyota holds 20.7% of Singapore sales in April.

The Singaporean new car market sinks -38.2% year-on-year in April to 2,501 registrations, but that’s better than the year-to-date volume down -41.1% to 10,361. Toyota (-45.1%) maintains its lead for the month despite a ghastly fall, staying above Mercedes (-22.7%) for just 22 units. Honda (-36.1%), BMW (-27.4%) and Hyundai (-21.7%) follow while Mazda (-51.6%) is hit full frontal. In contrast Porsche (+3.8%) ranks 7th like it does year-to-date and BYD (+1550%) is up to #10 vs. #13 YTD and #31 over the Full Year 2021. Below, Citroen (+12.5%), Renault (+10.5%), Rolls Royce (+250%), Ssangyong (+30%) and Bentley (+50%) are among the rare gainers. Notice also newcomer Polestar #16 with a satisfying 0.9% share.
