North Macedonia April 2022: VW Polo best-seller, Kia Stonic on podium, market up 18.3%

The Kia Stonic surges to third place overall in North Macedonia in April.

Based on data shared with us by Eastern European data partner CE Auto, new car registrations in North Macedonia gain 18.3% year-on-year to 478 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now down -4.6% to 1,606. The VW Polo surges 9 spots on last month to end April as the best-selling vehicle in the country with 5.4% and earns a spot in the Top 10 in the process, directly landing at #5. The Fiat Panda is up four ranks to #2 and also cracks the YTD Top 10 at #8. We have a newcomer in the North Macedonian Top 10: the Kia Stonic ranks directly at #3 for its first appearance among the country’s 10 best-sellers. The Citroen C3 (+112.5%) is down one spot to #4 but soars year-on-year, with the Toyota Yaris (+50%) and Fiat Ducato (+55.6%) also in outstanding shape year-on-year, as are the Kia Sportage (+85.7%) and Toyota Corolla (+30%).
