Moldova April 2022: Dacia Duster #1, Toyota Yaris scores first Top 10 at #3, sales up 13.6%
The Dacia Duster is the best-selling vehicle in Moldova in April.
According to data by our Central European partner CE Auto, the Moldovan new car market is up 13.6% year-on-year in April to 584 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 7.3% to 1,871 units. The Dacia Duster (+103.6%) storms into the pole position for the month with an excellent 9.8% share, its best so far this year. The Suzuki Vitara (+95.5%) is knocked down to 2nd place, however it shoots up year-on-year. Both the Duster and Vitara gain one spot year-to-date to #2 and #3 respectively. The Toyota Yaris signs its first Top 10 finish since we started following Moldova monthly back in October 2013. The Renault Kadjar (+92.9%) soars from outside the March 2022 Top 10 directly into 4th place, its highest ever in Moldova, also hit in April 2017. The Skoda Kodiaq (+300%) is down three ranks on March to #5 but up 4-fold year-on-year. Still leader year-to-date, the Dacia Logan (-32.3%) falls to #6 this month. It sells the same amount as the Mercedes GLE, now #8 year-to-date, and the Toyota Highlander scoring its second Top 10 finish in the past 6 months. The Skoda Superb and Hyundai Tucson close out the Top 10.
