Kenya Full Year 2021: Isuzu D-Max in the lead above Toyota Hilux

The Isuzu D-Max is the best-selling vehicle in Kenya in 2021.

6,948 new light vehicles hit Kenyan roads in 2021. Toyota is the uncontested leader with 47% share above Isuzu at 26.6%, which means these two brands hold almost three-quarters of Kenyan sales for the year. Ford, Nissan and Volkswagen round out the Top 5. Model-wise, the Isuzu D-Max is the most popular above its archenemy the Toyota Hilux with 17.5% and 14.7% share respectively. The Toyota Land Cruiser 70 finds its way to the podium at 8.8% of the market, distancing the Isuzu N-Series, Toyota Land Cruiser 79 and Ford Ranger. Toyota monopolises the rest of the Top 10 with the Hiace, Prado, Fortuner and Land Cruiser 76. Notice also the Toyota Corolla Cross at #12, the VW Tiguan at #13 and the Toyota Urban Cruiser at #18.
