Cyprus April 2022: Hyundai Tucson takes the lead in market down -19.2%

The Hyundai Tucson is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in April.

Thanks to our local partner SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, we can share with you today April data for Cyprus. The market is down a damning -19.2% year-on-year to just 747 units, yet thanks to a good start of the year, the year-to-date tally remains up, at +3.7% and 3,806 sales. This month the Hyundai Tucson (+235.7%) takes control of the market wth 6.3% share, distancing the Toyota Yaris (+4.8%) up two spots on March to #2 and the Kia Ceed (+437.5%) up 12 to #3. The Kia Sportage (+2.7%) is down two ranks to #4 while the Toyota C-HR (-25%) is in difficulty at #5, also down two spots on last month. The Toyota Corolla (+108.3%) leaps up to #7, the Jeep Wrangler is estimated to lift to #8 and #1 non-Asian vehicle as it has now broken into the YTD Top 30 at #26. Leader last month and year-to-date, the VW T-Roc (-29.6%) is down 8 spots to #9 while the Renault Captur (+6.7%) rounds out the Top 10. Notice also the Seat Arona (+85.7%), Skoda Kamiq (+85.7%) and Audi Q3 (+66.7%) in outstanding shape in the remainder of the Top 20.
