Turkey February 2022: Hyundai (+137.2%) once again best performer in market off -15.1%

Hyundai sales are up 137.2% in a market down -15.1%.

New light vehicle sales in Turkey drop -15.1% year-on-year in February to 49,652 units on a record February 2021. The year-to-date volume is now down -14.1% to  87,783 sales. Fiat (-37.7%) remains the most popular carmaker in the country but crumbles down. It is followed by Renault (-2.8%) limiting its decline and Ford (-16.9%) falling slightly faster than the market. Like last month, Hyundai (+137.2%) is the best performer this month and remains in 4th place vs. #7 over the Full Year 2021. Below an unchanged Top 4, Toyota (-1.5%) gains one spot on January to #5 and Peugeot (-7.8%) is up three to #6. Dacia (+28.1%) and Opel (+28.1%) impress in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Volkswagen (-52%) implodes. Further down, DS (+82.9%), BMW (+54.6%), Porsche (+41.9%) Audi (+50.7%) and Volvo (+17.6%) make themselves noticed.
