Poland January 2022: Kia Xceed breaks into Top 10 in market down -10.1%
The Kia Xceed ranks #10 in Poland in January.
New car sales in Poland drop -10.1% year-on-year to 28,611 units. Toyota is on fire this month with 19.7% share, that is a full three percentage points above its Full Year 2021 level of 16.7%. Kia is also in great shape, up three spots on December to #2 with 11.3% share, dislodging Skoda from the 2nd spot and Volkswagen from the third rank. BMW gains 5 spots on December to #5 ahead of Hyundai remaining at #6 and Dacia down three to #7. Ford is up 3 ranks to #8 while Audi and Mercedes round out the Top 10. Mazda points its bonnet in 15th place for the month.
Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla easily retains the pole position with 5.9% share vs. 5% over the Full Year 2021. It is followed this month by the Toyota RAV4 rallying back up a whopping 14 spots on December to #2. The VW T-Roc is up four ranks to #3 above the Toyota Yaris and Skoda Octavia which rank lower than usual. The Kia Sportage was out of the December Top 50 and reappears at #6 thanks to the new generation. It ranked #10 over the FY2021. The Kia Ceed is up four spots to #7, the Hyundai Tucson up five to #9 and the Kia Xceed is up 12 to break into the Polish Top 10 for the very first time. The Toyota Yaris Cross is the best-selling recent launch but is down three ranks on December to #11. The Toyota Highlander makes its first appearance in the Polish Top 50 at #32.
