Israel Full Year 2021: Market rallies back up 34.8%, Hyundai and Toyota Corolla stay on top

Thanks to our partnership with cartube.co.il, we can share with you Q4 models and Full Year 2021 data for Israel. This market bounces back up 34.8% year-on-year in 2021 to 289.291 registrations. The Top 4 best-selling brands are unchanged on 2020. Hyundai (+28.2%) loses share to 14.9% whereas Toyota (+42%) gains some to 14.1%, as does Kia (+55.9%) to 13.7%. Skoda (+4%) markedly underperforms but remains in fourth place, losing almost two percentage points of share to 6.4%. Mazda (+58.4%) scores the largest gain in the Top 10 and gains two spots to #5 with Nissan (+52.4%) also beating the market at #8. In contrast, Mitsubishi (-0.5%) is actually down and drops to #6. Tesla lands directly at #14 with 2.2% share, and MG (+102.3%), Jeep (+93.6%), Ford (+91.5%), Isuzu (+75.1%), BMW (+70.2%), Subaru (+46%) and Opel (+45%) also shine further down.
Over in the models ranking, the Toyota Corolla (+37.6%) celebrates a third consecutive annual win, roughly following the market evolution to 5.8% share. In fact the entire podium is unchanged on 2020 with the Hyundai Ioniq (+21.9%) seeing its share thaw to 4.2% and the Kia Picanto (+45.4%) improves to 4.1% share. The Kia Sportage (+62.5%) is up three spots on last year to #4, while the Kia Niro (+36.2%) and Toyota RAV4 (+29%) camp on their 2020 ranking at #5 and #6 respectively. The Skoda Octavia (+57.4%) is up 6 ranks to #7, the Tesla Model 3 lands directly at #8 (it was #1 overall in June) and the Hyundai i10 (+52.1%) cracks the Top 10 at #10. Below the Model 3, the MG eHS (#55) follows as far as 2021 launches are concerned, above the Cupra Formentor (#64) and Ford Puma (#82).
