Uruguay November 2021: Chevrolet #1, Jeep stuns in market down -7%
Jeep sales are up 666.7% year-on-year in November.

New car sales in Uruguay dip down -7% year-on-year in November to 3,907 registrations. The year-to-date tally is now up 47.1% to 44,350 units. Chevrolet (-7%) repeats at #1 and is in outstanding shape here with 15.1% share, as opposed to a paltry performance in neighbouring Brazil. Volkswagen (-6.9%) also matches the market to remain in 2nd place overall whereas Hyundai (+317.7%) surges year-on-year and is up two spots on October to #3. In contrast Renault (-21.2%) and Suzuki (-18.1%) are in trouble to round out the Top 5. Jeep (+666.7%) repeats at a fantastic 9th pace with 2.4% share vs. 0.9% year-to-date, even outselling Stellantis stablemate Fiat (-83.5%) for the 2nd month running. The latter remains #1 YTD despite two abysmal months. Toyota (+180%) and Peugeot (+53.8%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Chery (+5.1%) leads all Chinese carmakers at #11, ahead of Dongfeng (+17.8%) at #12, BYD (+320%) at #14 and Jetour (+173.3%) at #15.
