New Caledonia (France) November 2021: Toyota up to 23.5% share, places Raize at #4 in market up 42.8%

The Toyota Raize lands directly at #4 in New Caledonia in November.

New Caledonia is a French archipelago located north east of Australia. New car sales in the territory bounce back  up 42.8% year-on-year in November to 757 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 5.4% to 7,475. Toyota (+97.8%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year to an outstanding 23.5% share vs. 15.4% so far this year. Renault (+112.9%) also surges ahead and is up four spots on October to #2 with 8.7% share vs. 6.9% YTD. Dacia (+42.2%) matches the market and remains in third place. Mitsubishi (+137.5%), Hyundai (+105%) and Kia (+68%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Ford (-21.6%) and Nissan (-8.3%) struggle. MG (+200%) leads the Chinese charge at #12 above FAW (-31.6%) at #13, Changan at #17, Geely at #19, Dongfeng at #22 and ZX Auto at #24.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+79.2%) spectacularly reclaims the top spot with 12.5% share vs. 6.8% YTD, it distances the Dacia Sandero (+260%) and Citroen C3 (+25%). The new Toyota Raize lands directly at #4 and displaces last month’s leader the Dacia Duster (-3.4%). The Mitsubishi Sportero (+575%) rises to #6 ahead of the Renault Kwid up 13 spots on October to #7. The Toyota Land Cruiser (+84.6%) is up 7 to #8 while the Ford Ranger (stable) and Kia K2700 (+100%) round out the Top 10. Among other recent launches, the Kia Sonet ranks #20, the Dongfeng Joyear X5 #30 and the ZX Auto Terralord #31.
