Chile November 2021: Suzuki hits 12.5% share, places S-Presso at #1 in market up 32.2%
The Suzuki S-Presso is the best-selling vehicle in Chile in November.
The Chilean new light vehicle market surges 32.2% year-on-year in November to 38,981 units, a new record for the month. The year-to-date tally now stands at 374,805 units, up 62.3% on the same period in 2020 and the second largest at this stage of the year below 2018 (382,057). Suzuki has a stellar month and climbs to 12.5% share thanks to almost 4,900 sales, vs. 6.7% year-to-date where it now ranks #3. Chevrolet is toppled to #2 with 7.2% share vs. 9.6% so far this year. Chery advances one spot on October to rank #3 overall, while Changan is up three to a record 4th place, eclipsing its previous best of #5 reached last August. Toyota remains at #5 above Hyundai (-3), Kia (-1), Peugeot (+4) and Ford (+4) while Nissan rounds out the Top 10 like last month.
Over in the models ranking, the Suzuki S-Presso celebrates its first monthly win with 3.9% share, distancing the Kia Morning and Suzuki Baleno. Chery places the Tiggo 2 at #4 and the Tiggo 3 at #6, with the Toyota Hilux up two spots on last month to #5. The Ford Territory rallies from outside the October Top 20 directly to #6 while the Chevrolet N400 Max (aka Wuling Hongguang V) is up 7 ranks to #8 and the Chevrolet Groove (aka Baojun 510) is down 7 to #9. The Maxus T60 rounds out the Top 10.
