Belgium November 2021: Kia (+75.2%), Toyota (+31.6%) stand out in market down -17.1%

Kia is up 75.2% in a market down -17.1%.

In November, the Belgian new car market is down -17.1% year-on-year to 24,134 units, keeping in mind November 2020 was already down -15.7% on the year prior. The year-to-date volume now stands at 362,746 sales, off -9.6% on the same period in 2020 which was down -22.3% on 2019… BMW (-14.6%) cements its lead by becoming the only Top 4 carmaker to improve its market share year-on-year to 10.8%. Peugeot (-33.7%), Mercedes (-27.1%) and Audi (-20.4%) struggle below. Volkswagen (-12.5%) resists relatively well but is stuck to a paltry 5th place vs. #2 year-to-date. Citroen (-2.1%) holds even  better at #6 but it’s Kia (+75.2%), Toyota (+31.6%) and Dacia (+1%) that score the only year-on-year gains in the Top 10. Further down, notice Porsche (+37.9%), Mini (+36.3%), Tesla (+35.7%), Nissan (+32.3%) and Hyundai (+16.6%) all posting fantastic gains. Chinese newcomer Lynk & Co continues to gear up and is up to #23 with 0.8% share.
