UK nations October 2021: Mini leads England, Ford Focus tops two nations

The Ford Focus is #1 in Northern Ireland and Wales in October.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in October. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in our October 2021 UK update. This month Wales (+7.3%) stands out with a year-on-year gain to 3.946 units, with Northern Ireland (-22.8%) also limiting its fall to below the overall UK rate at 2.581 sales. England (-25%) at 90.276 units and Scotland (-29.3%) at 9.194 disappoint. Year-to-date, Scotland (+10.8%) fares the best at 118.194 units, ahead of Northern Ireland (+4.1%) at 32.828 and England (+2.2%) at 1.218.999. 

Podium finishers are as follows. The Mini is #1 in England and up to #7 in Wales, the Ford Focus is #1 in Northern Ireland and Wales, the Vauxhall Corsa is #1 in Scotland, the VW Polo is #2 in England and Scotland and #3 in Wales, the Hyundai Tucson is #2 in Northern Ireland, the MG ZS is #2 in Wales, the Nissan Qashqai is #3 in England and Scotland and the Peugeot 2008 is #3 in Northern Ireland, #4 in Scotland, #5 in Wales and first English Top 10 at #9 

Other great performers include the Peugeot 3008 up to #4 in Northern Ireland, the Kia Niro up to #5 in England, the Volvo XC40 up to #6 in England, the Peugeot 208 up to #6 in Scotland, the Vauxhall Mokka up to #7 in Scotland, the Seat Arona up to #8 in Northern Ireland and the VW T-Roc up to #9 in Wales.
