Poland October 2021: Kia Ceed up to #2, Opel Mokka breaks into Top 10 in market down -22.2%
The Opel Mokka is up to #8 in Poland in October.
Note the data tables below include September as well. New car sales in Poland drop -22.2% year-on-year in October to 30.543 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 13.1% to 371.542. Toyota remains out of reach in the brands ranking with 15.2% share vs. 16.4% so far this year. Once again the Koreans over perform: Kia is at 9.1% share vs. 7.6% year-to-date in 2nd place and advances to #3 year-to-date, overtaking Volkswagen. Hyundai stands at 7.1% share vs. 6.1% YTD and repeats at #3 vs. #5 YTD. Skoda is in trouble again, only managing a weak 6.8% share vs. 10.6% YTD where it still ranks #2. BMW (6.3%) remains above its YTD level of 5.5% and above Volkswagen (6%). Ford (4.8%) is up two spots to #7, toppling Renault (4.7%), both carmakers well above their YTD shares of 3.8% and 3.4% respectively as is Opel at 4.6% vs. 3.3%. Fiat ranks #13 whereas it is outside the YTD Top 15.
Over in the models ranking, the Toyota Corolla continues to reign supreme, selling more than twice as fast as any other nameplate in the country. The Kia Ceed is up two spots on September to #2 with 2.6% share vs. #10 and 1.7% so far this year, toppling the Toyota RAV4 down one to #3. The Toyota Aygo is up six ranks to #4, distancing the Hyundai Tucson and Ford Focus up seven to #6. Below the Skoda Fabia stable at #7, the Opel Mokka breaks into the Top 10 for the first time for this generation, with the Renault Clio and VW T-Roc rounding out the Top 10. #2 and #3 year-to-date, the Toyota Yaris and Skoda Octavia tumble down to #13 and #14 respectively this month. Other great performers include the Hyundai i20 up to #16, the Hyundai Kona up to #17, the Mazda CX-30 up to #19, the BMW X3 up to #21, the Renault Arkana up to #30, Fiat 500 up to #33 and BMW X5 up to #36.
