Serbia July 2021: Skoda Fabia and VW Passat top market down -1.2%

The VW Passat is up to #2 in Serbia in July.

According to data released by our local partner CE Auto, new car sales in Serbia edge down -1.2% year-on-year in July to 3.064 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 22.2% to 18.614 units. This month the Skoda Fabia (+201.6%) reclaims the top spot it holes year-to-date with exactly the same market share in July and YTD at 6.2%. The VW Passat surges from outside the June Top 10 directly into 2nd place: it is the nameplate’s first Top 10 finish since May 2017 (#10). The Skoda Octavia (-8.8%) rallies back up six spots on June to round out the podium at #3, distancing the Fiat 500L (-17.9%) down two to #4 and the Dacia Sandero (+10.3%) down one to #5. At #7, the Toyota Yaris cracks the Serbian Top 10 for the first time since last October while the Jeep Compass scores a second consecutive Top 10 finish at #8. Overall leader in June, the Fiat Tipo disappears from the July Top 10.
