Moldova June 2021: Toyota RAV4 and Dacia Duster top market up 46%

The Toyota RAV4 ranks #1 in Moldova for the fourth straight month.

According to our Central European market data partner CE Auto, the Moldovan new car market bounces back up 46% year-on-year in June to 682 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 37.9% to 2.946. The models ranking is very stable this month, with the Top 5 unchanged on May. The Toyota RAV4 (+2.2%) wins a fourth consecutive month and 5th out of 6 so far this year with 6.9% share vs. 8.1% YTD. The Dacia Duster (+309.1%) is up 4-fold year-on-year to retain the #2 spot only two sales below the RAV4. The Kia Sportage (+39.3%) trails the market but remains in third place above the Dacia Logan (+3.8%) and a booming Hyundai Tucson (+80%). The Skoda Kodiaq (+14.3%) is up two spots on May to #6 while the Mitsubishi L200 (#9) and Lada Largus (#10) make rare appearances in the monthly Top 10.
