Luxembourg May 2021: Audi (+81.8%), Skoda (+76.5%) impress in market up 32.6%
Audi is up to #2 in Luxembourg, above BMW.
New car sales in Luxembourg lift 32.6% year-on-year in May to 4.033 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 28.9% to 20.816. However sales are still down -25.5% on two years ago in May 2019 (5.415) and down -19.7% year-to-date over the same period in 2019. Volkswagen (+46.7%) retains the top spot at 12.8% share vs. 12.2% so far in 2021 while Audi (+81.8%) shoots up two spots on April to land in 2nd place with 12.1% share vs. just 8% year-to-date. BMW (+49.2%) is knocked down to #3 but outpaces the market also. Mercedes (+22%) loses share year-on-year and drops to #4 ahead of Skoda (+76.5%) in fantastic shape at 7.1% share vs. 5.8% YTD. Peugeot (+73.1%) and Fiat (+48.2%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Seat (+108.2%), Porsche (+93.6%), Nissan (+82.6%) and Mini (+73.5%) stand out whereas Opel (-54.5%) and Ford (-38.6%) struggle.
