Luxembourg April 2021: Citroen (+704.3%), BMW (+439.5%) shine in market back up 263%

Citroen sales are up 704.3% year-on-year in Luxembourg.

The Luxembourg new car market bounces back up 263% year-on-year in April to 4.327 units as April 2020 volumes were down -78.9% on the year prior due to the Covid-19 lockdown. The year-to-date tally is now up 28.1% to 16.783. Volkswagen (+232.5%) can’t match the market growth but easily holds onto the top spot of the brands ranking with 12.8% share, while BMW (+439.5%) brilliantly overtakes Mercedes (+353.2%) to rank #2 for the month. Audi (+215.2%) and Peugeot (+332.3%) remain in 4th and 5th place respectively. Citroen (+704.3%) is up to #8 with Hyundai (+322.9%) and Renault (+305.4%) also outpacing the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Mini (+628.6%), Nissan (+514.3%) Opel (+462.5%), Seat (+442.9%) shine below whole Cupra is up three spots on March to a strong #22 and 0.9% share.
