It’s another record for the Turkish market in March, the third in a row, up a whopping 92.8% year-on-year to 96.428 units which eclipses the previous best of 83.302 in March 2015. The year-to-date tally is now up 59.7% to 198.660. The four best-selling marques all trail the wild market growth: Fiat (+82.3%) leads the way above Volkswagen (+74.7%), Ford (+57%) and Renault (+68.1%). In contrast Skoda (+299.4%) is up 4-fold year-on-year with Toyota (+240.5%), Dacia (+150.8%) and Citroen (+130.1%) also sporting fantastic upticks. Further down, Porsche (+563.2%), Ssangyong (+324.3%), Nissan (+216.6%), Mitsubishi (+215.9%) and Kia (+194.6%) stand out.
Over in the models ranking, the Fiat Egea (+83.3%) stays in the lead but the Toyota Corolla (+263.8%) is almost 4-fold year-on-year to end the month at a stunning 8.3% share. The Ford Transit/Tourneo Courier (+106.9%) and Renault Clio (+30.3%) complete a Top 4 unchanged on February. Below, the VW Polo (+439.6%), VW Tiguan (+400.2%), Dacia Duster (+187.7%), Fiat Doblo (+145.3%) and Renault Megane (+141.5%) all post surreal gains.
