Moldova March 2021: Toyota RAV4 reclaims top spot, sales up 78.2%
The Toyota RAV4 is the best-selling vehicle in Moldova in March and YTD.
According to data by our Central European market data partner CE Auto, new car sales in Moldova rally back up 78.2% year-on-year on weak, Covid-impacted year-ago volumes to 490 units. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 10.3% to 1.229. Leader over the Full Year 2020 and so far in 2021, the Toyota RAV4 (+800%) reclaims the monthly top spot in March with an impressive 9.2% share. Like in February, the Top 4 is entirely composed of SUVs, with the Suzuki Vitara leaping up 8 spots to #2 ahead of the Dacia Duster (+141.7%) and Kia Sportage (+154.5%) both vastly outpacing the market. Once dominant here, the Dacia Logan (-40%) is stuck in 5th place and ranks #3 so far in 2021. The Skoda Kodiaq (+100%), Hyundai Tucson (+75%) and Renault Kadjar (#10) make it 7 SUVs in the Top 10.
