Syria Full Year 2020: Hyundai and Kia only brands remaining in market off -63.9%

The Syrian new car market plummets down -63.9% year-on-year in 2020 to just 2.941 sales. Only Hyundai (-62.7%) and Kia (-66.5%) remain active in this market with Hyundai accounting for roughly three-quarters of the market and Kia for one-quarter, even though Kia was leading after 7 months this year. The Hyundai Tucson (-69.2%) remains the best-selling vehicle in Syria, it is now followed by the Hyundai Elantra (-1.9%) up one spot to #3. The Kia Cerato (-55.2%), Sorento (-61.4%) and Hyundai Accent (-60%) all also advance one spot on 2019, taking advantage of the implosion of the Hyundai H1 (-83.8%) down from #2 to #6. The new Hyundai Reina lands at #10.
