London (UK) Full Year 2020: Mercedes A-Class and Tesla Model 3 top market off -26.1%

According to our partner SMMT, new car sales in Greater London are down -26.1% year-on-year in 2020 to 65.546 units. Whereas it was in the lead halfway through the year, the Tesla Model 3 (+15.1%) is estimated to end 2020 in second place in London. The Mercedes A-Class (-19.8%) repeats at #1 and improves its share to 2.9%. The Mini Hatch (-0.4%) sports stable sales and climbs three spots to #3, distancing the Nissan Qashqai (-15.9%) and VW Golf (-28.1%). The Kia Niro (#6) and Audi Q2 (#8) point their bonnet into the Londoner Top 10 this year. Leader in 2018, the Ford Fiesta (-49.8%) implodes to #10 this year. Also note that the Ford Puma is absent from the London Top 10 in 2020 whereas it makes it into each UK nation’s Top 10.
