Denmark November 2020: Toyota Aygo and Yaris top market edging back up 0.3%

The Toyota Aygo signs its first win in over 8 years in Denmark.

The Danish new car market clings back into positive in November at +0.3% year-on-year to 18.168 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now off -16.5% to 175.393. Below Volkswagen (+1%), comfortable leader at 14.1% share, both Toyota (+110%) and Mercedes (+94.8%) spectacularly double their sales year-on-year and overtake Peugeot (+7.4%). Citroen (+77.7%), Hyundai (+48.4%) and Audi (+15.7%) also score fantastic gains in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Jeep (+550%), Porsche (+409.1%), Jaguar (+206.3%), Opel (+195.2%), Kia (+116.6%) and Suzuki (+91.4%) stand out.

The Toyota Aygo (+70.6%) sign its first monthly win in Denmark in over 8 years – since July 2012 – and Toyota manages a 1-2 this month with the Yaris (+15.1%) in 2nd place above a rejuvenated VW Golf (+83.8%). The Peugeot 208 (-16.6%) drops 3 spots on October to #4 but easily remains the best-selling vehicle in the country year-to-date at over 6.000 sales. The Hyundai i10 (+207.3%), Kona (+198.5%) and Citroen C1 (+64.2%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. The VW ID.3 rallies back up 9 spots on last month to #17, topping recent launches just above the Mercedes GLB at #18.
