Argentina November 2020: Fiat Cronos 3peats at #1, VW Nivus in Top 20, sales up 34.9%

Particularly weak year-ago volumes mean new vehicle sales in Argentina are up a fantastic 34.9% year-on-year in November to 34.563 units, however the year-to-date tally remains down, at -26.7% to 319.229. Despite losing volume year-on-year, Volkswagen (+24.2%) and Toyota (+31.5%) still dominate the brands charts, distancing Renault (+44.1%), Fiat (+62.8%) and Chevrolet (+40.1%). A model of stability, the Top 14 is unchanged on last month, with Audi (+80.9%), Iveco (+73.8%) and Citroen (+55.5%) standing out. Further down, notice Hyundai (+240%), Dongfeng (+69.2%), Ram (+67.4%), Chery (+66.7%) and Volvo (+50%).

Over in the models ranking, the Fiat Cronos (+391.6%) is up 5-fold year-on-year to threepeat at #1 with a smashing 8.3% share. The Toyota Hilux (+31%) trails the market gain but remains at #2 for the month and #1 year-to-date. The Chevrolet Onix (+119.8%) also posts a superb uptick in third place. In fact the rest of the Top 12 models all outpace the market, with the Chevrolet Cruze (+350.8%), VW T-Cross (+159.2%), Toyota Etios (+108.8%) and Peugeot 208 (+84.1%) faring best. Among recent launches, the VW Nivus launches up 162 spots on last month to break into the Top 20 at #17 while the new Ford Territory is up 12 to break into the Top 50 at #44.
