China LCV September 2020: CNHTC, Maxus, Great Wall help lift market up another 25.5%
Maxus LCV sales are up 87.6% year-on-year in September in China.
It’s another fantastic result for sales of Light Commercial Vehicles in China in September at +25.5% year-on-year to 337.888. This lifts the year-to-date tally up 11.5% over the same period in 2019 – an outstanding feat given the Coronavirus crisis – with 2.594.310 new LCVs being registered in China so far in 2020. The Top 4 brands are identical to August and YTD: Wuling (+16.3%) still dominates head and shoulders even though it fails to match the market growth with over 65.000 sales ahead of Foton (+42%) at almost 44.000 and Dongfeng (+7.9%) just below 29.000. The best performers are found further down the Top 10: CNHTC (+146%), Maxus (+87.6%), Great Wall (+67.3%), JMC (+53.1%) and JAC (+48.3%), all pickup specialists. Model-wise, the Wuling Mini Truck (+10.4%) is undisturbed but the Foton Light Truck (+39.4%) lurks just 2.200 units below.
