Belgium October 2020: Audi (+31.9%) teases Peugeot for top spot in market off -9.4%
Audi sales shoot up 31.9% year-on-year in Belgium in October.
The Belgian new car market sinks -9.4% year-on-year in October to 38.703 registrations, leading to a year-to-date volume off -22.7% to 372.310. Peugeot (-8.3%) slightly outpaces the market and this is enough to propel it up 3 spots on September to the Belgian pole position for the month. This is Peugeot’s second victory of the year after last May. Audi (+31.9%) is up spectacularly and rewarded by the 2nd spot overall at 9% share and just 44 units below Peugeot. Mercedes (+5.4%) is also up in third place while BMW (-3.7% and Renault (-0.2%) are only down marginally. Volkswagen (-28.6%) endures the largest year-on-year drop in the Top 12 and falls to #6 but retains the YTD leadership with a 5.000-unit margin over #2 BMW. Dacia (+37.3%) and Skoda (+16%) also impress in the Top 10.
