Luxembourg July 2020: Dacia (+158.9%), Skoda (+85.2%), Audi (+43.6%) help lift market up 14.9%

Dacia sales surge 158.9% year-on-year in Luxembourg in July.

New car sales in Luxembourg make a spectacular return into positive territory in July at +14.9% year-on-year to 5.509 units, leading to a year-to-date volume down -26.8% to  26.302. Although it remains at #1, Volkswagen (-10.7%) misses out on the market resurgence, enduring the worst performance in the Top 18 and dropping to 11.3% share vs. 12.3% YTD. In contrast, premium fares Audi (+43.6%) and BMW (+38.4%) both vastly outpace the market to round out the podium, knocking Mercedes (+13.6%) out to #4. Dacia (+158.9%), Skoda (+85.2%), Renault (+34.7%) and Volvo (+27.2%) also score spectacular gains in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Peugeot (-8.7%) drops. Further down, Lamborghini (+175%), Ssangyong (+166.7%), Porsche (+104.2%), Maserati (+66.7%), Mini (+64.8%), Ferrari (+50%), Hyundai (+22.9%), DS (+18.8%) and Kia (+12.5%) stand out.
