Croatia April 2020: Kia Stonic and Skoda Scala break records in market down -87.4%
The Skoda Scala is up to #9 in Croatia in April.
Under lockdown for the entire month, new car sales in Croatia tumble down -87.4% year-on-year in April to 1.084 units, pulling the year-to-date tally down -46.5% to 11.113 registrations. Brand leaders Volkswagen (-74.6%) and Skoda (-78.4%) fare markedly better than the market to account for 36.6% of Croatian sales for the month vs. 31.9% YTD. Jaguar (+166.7%) and Porsche (+9.1%) are the only carmakers up but none sells more than 12 units, just as BMW (-64.9%), Mercedes (-69.3%) and Seat (-77.2%) manage to contain their fall somewhat. The Skoda Octavia (-81.5%) easily retains the models top spot above the VW Golf (-70.3%), Dacia Duster (-87.1%) and VW T-Cross (-15.8%). The Kia Stonic (-26.8%) is up to a record 5th place, the VW Touran (-3.2%) is up 11 spots on March to #7 and the Skoda Scala (+766.7%) breaks its ranking record at #9.
