North Macedonia Full Year 2019: Kia Sportage topples Citroen C3 to win in market down -2%

Thanks to our Central European data partner CE Auto we can share with you today 2019 figures for North Macedonia. Inconsistencies with November 2019 data are explained by the fact that our Full Year figures are based on registrations insurance data which is more reliable that raw sales. The North Macedonian new car market edges down -2% year-on-year to 5.926 units. After missing out on its very first pole position for just two units last year, the Kia Sportage (+13.4%) topples the Citroen C3 (-4.9%) to become the most popular vehicle in the country for 2019. The Skoda Octavia (-0.6%) manages to climb onto the podium despite losing volume year-on-year, while the Toyota Corolla (+20.2%) surges 6 ranks to #4 thanks to the new generation. Bar the VW Golf, the second half of the Top 10 is composed of models that weren’t in the 2018 Top 10, among them the Dacia Dokker and Fiat Tipo.
