Mauritius Full Year 2019: Toyota returns to #1 for 1st time since 2015, Hyundai (+54.2%) impresses

New vehicle sales in Mauritius are stable at the highest level in 2019 at -0.1% of just 15 units less than last year to 11.302 registrations, the 2nd largest annual volume in history. Toyota (-10.1%) reclaims the brands pole position off Nissan (-22.6%) for the first time since 2015 but both carmakers endure steep falls. Kia (-5.7%) contains its loss to single-digits and remains at #3 but it’s Hyundai (+54.2%), Suzuki (+18.7%), Mazda (+17.8%), Mitsubishi (+15.8%) and Mercedes (+13.5%) that truly shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Great Wall (+81.8%), Proton (+53.8%), Mini (+40.4%), Ford (+19.8%), Citroen (+18.2%), Isuzu (+12.5%) and Jaguar (+11.7%) are among the best performers.
