Lesotho Full Year 2019: Toyota and Hilux outstrip competition, Prado on podium

According to data shared with us by our partners Lightstone and NAAMSA, Lesotho is a Toyota (-10.1%) market through and through: at over 540 registrations, it is the only carmaker selling more than 30 units in the country, and 20 times (!) the amount of #2 Nissan (-39.1%). Isuzu (-60.9%), Volkswagen (-28.6%) and Ford (-55.9%) round out the Top 5. The Toyota Hilux (-8.6%) is untouchable in pole position, followed like in 2018 by the Toyota Fortuner (-12.4%) while the Toyota Prado surges from outside the 2018 Top 10 directly onto the podium. The Isuzu D-Max/KB (#4) and Nissan NP200 (#7) are the only non-Toyota nameplates inside the Top 10. Toyota also places 9 nameplates inside the passenger cars Top 10, with the odd one out being the… Lexus ES at #9.
