Hong Kong (China) October 2019: Tesla ranks 5th, holds 7.3% share of market down -27.1%

Tesla ranks #5 brand in Hong Kong in October.

New car sales in Hong Kong dive -27.1% year-on-year to 2.893 units in October as social movements in the territory cramps dealership activity. The year-to-date tally is now down -8% to 31.907. Toyota (-24.5%) remains by far the most popular brand with 30.7% but alongside Mercedes (-26.8%), BMW (-22.2%) and Honda (-29.9%), drops quite significantly this month. Tesla (+5200%) is down 3 spots on September to 7.3% share as the Model 3 goes through deliveries of years-old orders. Suzuki (+88.9%) and Kia (+23.1%) posts market-defying gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
