Slovenia October 2019: VW Golf, Nissan Qashqai, Fiat Panda on top

The VW Golf is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in October.

New car sales in Slovenia gain 4.9% year-on-year in October to 5.983 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally down -3.5% to 63.391. Volkswagen (+16.9%) frankly outpaces the market to easily remain in the brands lead with 17.3% share vs. 12.2% for Renault (+5.7%) while Skoda (-14.8%) straggles to third place. Nissan (+96.4%), Hyundai (+43.7%), Kia (+29.6%), Fiat (+16.1%) and Peugeot (+14.6%) also shine in the Top 10. The VW Golf (+27.8%) rallies back up 6 spots on last month to hit the models pole position for the first time since July 2018, distancing the Nissan Qashqai (+200%) and Fiat Panda (+409.8%) both posting stratospheric gains. The Renault Megane (+65.3%) is up 13 spots to #5, the VW T-Cross falls 5 to a still splendid 6th place, but both market leaders the Renault Clio (-51.9%) and Skoda Octavia (-50.5%) drop the ball this month.
