Estonia September 2019: Skoda edges past Toyota in market up 12.2%
Skoda is the most popular carmaker in Estonia in September.
The Estonian new car market leaps 12.2% year-on-year to 1.725 sales, tilting the year-to-date tally back into positive at +0.5% and 20.618. Skoda (16.6% share) edges past Toyota (16.5%) to snap the brands top spot for the month for just two sales, with Volkswagen and Kia equal #3 at 8.9%. Honda is up to #7 vs. #9 YTD, Opel up to #8 vs. #10 and BMW up to #10 vs. 19. In the year-to-date ranking, Dacia (+46.4%), Jaguar (+36%), Audi (+33.2%), Peugeot (+16.7%), Volkswagen (+13%) and Skoda (+12.4%) are among the biggest gainers whereas Suzuki (-53.7%), Jeep (-45.1%), Opel (-21.4%), Nissan (-20.6%), Honda (-19.5%) and Subaru (-19.4%) fare the worst. Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+52.9%) scores a 2nd consecutive month at #1, only 4 units above the Toyota Corolla and 7 above the Toyota RAV4 (+9.9%) with the Kia Sportage and Skoda Kodiaq ensuring there are 3 SUVs in the Top 5. The VW Golf (#6) and Renault Captur (#7) also shine this month.
