Serbia July 2019: Skoda Octavia #1, Fiat 500L back up to #2 in market up 20.6%

The Fiat 500L hits its best monthly ranking of 2019 in Serbia.

According to data released by our Central European data partner CE Auto, new car sales in Serbia shoot up 20.6% year-on-year in July to 3.330 registrations, lifting the YTD volume up 6.5% to 21.540 units. The Skoda Octavia (+14.9%) is up two spots on June to reclaim the models lead for the first time since April and the third time this year (add February), meaning it is now just one single sale below YTD leader Skoda Fabia (-15.5%) after 7 months. The Fiat 500L (+157.1%) continues its recovery, up 4 spots on last month to #2, a level it hadn’t yet reached so far in 2019, and now inside the YTD Top 10 at #9. #1 in June, the Fiat Tipo (+20.4%) is knocked down to #4 but retains the #3 rank in the YTD order. Like in neighbouring Bosnia, the Skoda Karoq (#5) breaks into the Serbian Top 10 for the very first time in July. The Dacia Sandero (+102%) and Citroen C3 (+24.6%) also post fantastic gains in the Top 10 where the Fiat Panda (#10) reappears for the first time since February.
