UK nations June 2019: Vauxhall Corsa tops Wales, Peugeot 3008 in Scotland Top 10

Before the arrival of the 2020 model (pictured), the Vauxhall Corsa tops the Welsh charts in June.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you today the Top 10 best-sellers for all UK nations in June. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are included in the June UK update. This month Wales (+5.7%) clearly stands up with the only gain around, while Scotland (-0.2%) is almost immobile and both England (-5.7%) and Northern Ireland (-6%) clearly underperform in an overall UK market down -4.9%. Year-to-date, England is down -3.6% to 1.094.193, Scotland down -3.4% to 98.416, Wales down -1.6% to 42.691 and Northern Ireland down -0.5% to 30.837.

The Ford Fiesta is the best-seller in 3 out of 4 nations in June: England, Scotland and Northern Ireland where it is back to #1 YTD above the VW Golf, meaning it now tops all nations YTD including Wales where it ranks #2 in June. Traditionally doing so in Scotland, this time the Vauxhall Corsa is #1 in Wales, as well as #2 in Scotland. The Mini is #2 in England but also #4 in Scotland and #6 in Wales, while the Ford Kuga ranks #2 in Northern Ireland and no other nameplate cracks the Top 2 this month.

The Toyota Yaris is #3 in Wales equal with the Vauxhall Viva but also #7 in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, justifying its 7th place nationally. The VW Golf is #3 in England and Northern Ireland and the VW Polo is #3 in Scotland. Other notable performances include the first Scottish Top 10 for Peugeot 3008, the Hyundai i10 up to #9 in Northern Ireland and the VW T-Roc back inside the Top 10 in Scotland.
