Slovenia June 2019: Renault (+37.5%), Dacia (+50.8%) can’t help market down -5.6%
The Renault Captur sees its sales soar 87.7% year-on-year in Slovenia.
New car sales in Slovenia dive down -5.6% year-on-year in June to 6.967 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally down -3.8% to 41.122 units. Renault (+37.5%) reclaims the brands pole position thanks to a smashing year-on-year gain, obliterating Volkswagen (-16.6%) at 22.5% share vs. 16.4%. Skoda (-22.4%) is in difficulty in third place, distancing Dacia (+50.8%) posting the largest gain in the Top 20 below Volvo (+59.4%) at #20. Toyota (+46.4%) and Nissan (+31.8%) also manage stunning gains in the Top 20 whereas Fiat (-54.3%), Mercedes (-48.3%), Audi (-36.6%), Ford (-32.1%), Kia (-31.2%), Seat (-23.5%), Hyundai (-22.5%), Suzuki (-21.2%) and Opel (-14.4%) all freefall. Model-wise, the Renault Captur (+87.7%) snaps the overall pole position for the first time since last August, followed by the Renault Clio (+27.9%) and Dacia Sandero (+191.9%). The VW T-Cross remains at a record 8th place.
