Latvia May 2019: Toyota Corolla scores pole position in market up 4.5%

The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling vehicle in Latvia in May.

According to data shared by our partner JATO Dynamics, new car sales in Latvia gain 4.5% year-on-year in May to 1.768 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 7.2% to 7.873. The Toyota Corolla (+251.4%) takes control of the Latvian models ranking this month at 7% share but remains #4 YTD, the VW Tiguan (+138.6%) is up 4 spots on April to #2 and cements its YTD domination at 5.1% share, while the Toyota RAV4 (+145%) drops two ranks to #3 but overtakes the VW Golf (-44.8%) to claim the #2 spot YTD. The Dacia Duster (+192.3%), Skoda Octavia (+74.4%) and VW Passat (+29.1%) also posts impressive gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
