Swaziland Full Year 2018: Toyota Hilux back above Isuzu KB

The Toyota Hilux is back to the #1 spot in Swaziland for 2018.

Thanks to our partnership with South African outlets Lightstone and NAAMSA, sales data for Swaziland is now available for 2018, and for the first time we now have access to brands volumes. These show Toyota’s head and shoulders domination with well above double the amount of #2 Isuzu, with Nissan, Ford and Mazda in tow. Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-19.4%) is back above its archenemy the Isuzu KB (-36.1%) to reclaim the annual pole position for the first time since 2015. The Toyota Quantum (-13.9%) aka Hiace remains on the third step of the podium, while the Ford Ranger and Nissan NP300/Hardbody make it 4 pickups in the Top 5 and complete a Top 5 composed at 100% light commercials, the best-selling passenger car – the Toyota Fortuner (-18.8%) – coming in at #6 overall. In the passenger cars ranking, the Mazda CX-5 breaks into the Top 5 and the Toyota C-HR lands inside the Top 10.
