Croatia January 2019: VW up to 20.4% share in market down 4.2%
The VW Tiguan soars 64% to #3 in Croatia in January.
After surging 18.3% over the Full Year 2018, Croatian new car sales start 2019 in negative at -4.2%. However for market leader Volkswagen (+38%) it’s an outstanding month with a mammoth 20.4% share vs. just 9.3% in December and 14.9% over FY2018. Skoda (-24%) tumbles down year-on-year but rallies back up 3 spots on December to #2. Renault (-9%) rounds up the podium, distancing Suzuki (-26%) in difficulty. Infiniti (+700%), Volvo (+129%), Fiat (+117%), Mercedes (+94%), Dacia (+18%), Seat (+14%), Toyota (+11%) and Mazda (+10%) also shine further down. Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-20%) remains on top ahead of three double-digit gainers: the VW Golf (+19%), Tiguan (+64%) and Dacia Sandero (+86%). The Fiat 500L brilliantly scores a second consecutive month in 6th place, with the Seat Leon (#8), VW T-Roc (#10), Touran (#11), Hyundai Kona (#12) and Skoda Fabia (#20) also posting excellent results.
